Floating Records

For Immediate Release – March 23, 2011

Floating Records presents an April Fools Day Concert at the Sausalito Seahorse on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 8 pm. Featuring Floating Records artists Fiver Brown and The Good Sinners, along with good friends The Incubators and a special performance from Nashville via Fairfax songstress Victoria George and Jeremy D’Antonio of Tiny Television. A night full of Great Americana music!

Floating Records is Marin County’s home for great local music. Based out of the houseboat community of Sausalito, it has a roster of 15 artists and is still growing. The online store, at http://www.floatingrecords.com , provides music distribution through MP3 downloads and traditional CD sales.

Fiver Brown and The Good Sinners are Floating Records flagship band, and Sausalito’s favorite sons. The foot stompin’ music is a swampy stew of soul and blues, flavored with smoke and whisky, and stirred with an uncommon mix of Southern gothic and a Northern California vibe. You could call it Soulful Southern Americana, and it will separate your butt from the seat and get it a-shakin’. We guarantee that you are in for a sweaty, rocking good show. Touring in support of their new album, Neighbors in Imola.

The Incubators, from Petaluma, are a rising Americana group fronted by the collaborative song-writing team of Katie Freeman and Chris Chappell. Admitted tone freaks, they employ analog and tube technology to create a vintage and timeless rock sound.

Victoria George combines the country-flavored vocals of the Dixie Chicks with the tone of Alison Krauss and the roots of Bonnie Raitt, but at the end of the day Victoria George has her own sound. When she takes the stage, bad-ass meets the Bay Area. You’ll know it when you hear it. She’ll be playing with Jeremy D’Antonio of Tiny Television, a San Francisco band with a hard charging, dark Americana, sound.

Sausalito Seahorse is Sausalito’s premier music and dining venue. It’s located at 305 Harbor Drive (at Gate 5 Rd), Sausalito CA 94965. http://www.sausalitoseahorse.com
