Formed in 2009, Oakland based indie rockers, Felsen have released
their 3rd album, "Breaking Up With Loneliness." The album is the culmination of 2 years of constant performing, touring, wood-shedding and songwriting and now they’ve clearly produced their finest effort to date.The new album’s producer, Jonathan “JP” Parker (who has worked with Wilco, the Fray, Andrew Bird, the Redwalls & Liz Phair) early on in the process said “the new songs may very well be the best batch of raw songs that I have encountered since Wilco's Summerteeth (period)”. The finished songs are anything but raw, rather they have re-emerged as fully realized instant pop classics. Felsen was joined in the studio by legendary drummer Michael Urbano (Smashmouth, CAKE, 3rd Eye Blind, Sheryl Crow, Cracker...) and slide guitar virtuoso Johnny Vernazza (Elvin Bishop, Norton Buffalo, Marshall Tucker Band, Van Morrison). The album was 100%funded by Felsen’s fans through Kickstarter. Felsen has opened for National acts: Camper Van Beethoven, Marcy Playground, One Eskimo, Stone Foxes and Luce.
